Primary Care is your child’s medical home for routine care, including well visits, vaccinations, chronic condition management, and developmental screenings.
Pediatric Urgent Care is designed for after-hours or same-day treatment of minor illnesses and injuries that can’t wait for a regular appointment but don’t require the emergency room.

Follow-ups after hospital visitst is the difference between Pediatric Primary Care and Pediatric Urgent Care?
Urgent care visits are typically handled by a different provider than your child’s primary care provider. However, your child’s medical records (if seen in our Primary Care office) can be made available to the urgent care provider with your consent.
Our Pediatric Urgent Care is open:
Weekdays: 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Holidays: Limited hours (check website or call ahead)
During normal business hours, we encourage patients to schedule with our Primary Care team.
Not necessarily. Insurance co-pays and coverage levels for urgent care may differ from primary care services. Please contact your insurance provider directly to confirm your benefits for urgent care services.
Urgent care is meant for short-term issues only. For medication refills (especially for ADHD, asthma, or allergies), or management of ongoing conditions, please follow up with your child’s Primary Care provider.
Yes — with your consent, we will ensure that your child’s primary care doctor receives a summary of the urgent care visit so they can follow up as needed.

Important Notice About Urgent Care Capacity
At our Pediatric Urgent Care, your child’s health and safety are always our top priority. To ensure we provide the highest quality medical care to each child, our provider must occasionally limit the number of patients seen during a shift.
We understand how frustrating it can be when a line is cut off or we are no longer accepting walk-in visits for the day. However, this decision is not made lightly. It is based on:
Patient Safety: Each child deserves focused, unrushed attention. When the provider sees too many patients in a short time, the quality and safety of care can be compromised.
Staffing Limitations: Our providers and clinical teams need adequate time to evaluate, treat, document, and follow up with each family appropriately.
Legal and Ethical Standards: Medical professionals are required to practice within safe limits to ensure every patient receives thorough, responsible care.
When our provider reaches a safe maximum number of patients for the shift, we must close the urgent care line for that day to maintain safe, ethical, and high-quality medical standards.
What You Can Do:
Follow up with Primary Care: If urgent care is at capacity, our Primary Care office may be able to assist during regular business hours, or help you find an alternative care option.
We truly appreciate your understanding and patience. Our goal is always to care for your children with the attention, safety, and compassion they deserve.
If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask our front desk team.
Yes! If you visit our urgent care and wish to establish your child with our Primary Care practice, we would be happy to help you with the registration process.
